Vacation Bible School

Ahoy Mateys!!!

What an incredible week for Kyndall!! She went to The Corners Church for VBS (Vacation Bible School) this week. Avery isn't quite old enough to go yet, so she and I had some quality time together. Two of Kyndall's best friends, Kate and Kiley also went this week and they all had a blast!!!! It started out a little rough, Kyndall has really been having a hard time leaving me lately (no matter where we are or what we are doing) which breaks my heart when she cries as I leave her. She usually gets over it pretty quickly though. On Monday when I dropped her off, a sweet lady had to pry her screaming and crying off of me. Wow, that was not fun. But when I went to pick her up she was so happy and excited (whew). They learn stories about Jesus, his disciples, sing songs, play games and of course eat yummy snacks! On Thursday, the "Pirate Teacher" as Kyndall called the Director (who dressed as a pirate to go along with the High Seas theme) told the story of Christ dying for our sins and how we could ask him in our hearts and have everlasting life in Heaven with him. Kyndall went to the front and prayed with her teacher...so sweet! Then she came home and said, "Momma, I prayed and asked Jesus to my heart and you know what?! They are having a party in Heaven now!!!" Oh how I love her sweet, innocent, precious, little heart!!! After Monday's drop off the rest of the week went really smooth, Kyndall was super excited to go everyday and even wanted to walk to her group by herself! Tonight they had a family night where you could come and see a video of all the kids and hear them sing their songs. Kyndall was so proud to take us, and we were so excited to see her so enthusiastic! Yay for a fun week of VBS!!! Thanks to The Corners Church for providing such a warm and loving environment!!!

Kyndall's Birthday Party Recap

I know, I know, where have we been, why have we been neglecting the blog??? All I can say is it is summer and we are taking full advantage of playing in the sun and enjoying the summer. I haven't taken the time to post all the pics sorry!!! For Kyndall's birthday celebration this year, she had a super fun day. Grammie took her to Sweet n Sassy to get her hair and nails done before the party. Then she had a party with her friends after that. We decided since Kyndall's favorite thing in the world to do right now is craft, that we would do that at her birthday party! We went to Kids N Art in Frisco and each child got to paint a small canvas. They all painted a dolphin and had a blast. The staff was incredible and took care of everything. Since Kyndall wanted a Barbie themed birthday, I made a Barbie birthday cake for her (thanks to my friend Candace for helping me with that one:). I also made each child their own apron with their name embroidered on it so they wouldn't ruin their clothes when painting(but Kids N Art will supply aprons if you don't want to make or bring your own) All in all, it was a sweet and fun time! Here are some pics of her and her friends! Oh and I almost forgot one of the most fun parts......face painting!! The artists that work there painted all the kids' faces!!! How fun:)

Happy 4th Birthday Kyndall Ann Kelly!

What an amazing day....my little girl turned 4 today!!! She is such a blessing in our lives. How can I even start to describe what a beautiful, sweet, funny, and loving girl she is becoming. My favorite thing about Kyndall is how loving and sweet she is to her family. She loves Avery with all her heart and Avery feels the same way. She is the best big sister in the world!! She loves her friends, Jesus and just enjoys life.

This past year, right after she turned 3 she took Ballet and she was Great at it! She enjoyed learning about Jesus in Bible Study Fellowship and met a couple of new friends. She went to her first Graduation for her cousin Sophie (who she LOVES). She also got to go to Bits and Gram's house over night for a couple of nights this past year! It has been such a fun and exciting year for her trying new things, going fun places, and just living life.

We LOVE you so much Kyndall and can't wait to enjoy you being 4!!

Summer sun = Swimming fun

Between Uncle Marc's fun backyard pool and our Gym's pool, we have been having some fun in the sun lately!! Here are a few pictures I have snapped of the girls enjoying swimming! Last year (don't judge) I was a little nervous taking a 1 year old and 3 year old to the pool by myself, so I only took them twice...but this year they are little fish!!

So I joined Lifetime Fitness in Oct. which has been great! Kyndall does ballet there and I usually work out a couple of times a week...the girls LOVE the gym play area (kid care center). During the summer they open their outdoor pool and it is so fun! My friend Intaly and I work out together and then take our sweet girls to swim in the evening (usually) when it isn't quite so hot! This is a pic of the pool! Pretty nice! You can see Kyndall sitting down with Intaly and her little friend Kiley waiting to get out and swim (of course the first day we got there, it was the 15 minute break they make the kids take from swimming).

Six Year Anniversary

So have I told you what great friends I have? I know you read about them from time to time on here with our fun outings...but I don't think I brag about them enough. They are the kind of friends who ask you if they can watch your kids so you can go out for your anniversary while your kids are having a super fun time with their best friends!! Kyndall and Avery went to their friend's house to have their first ever Pajama Party!! (just til 8:30 pm...not an over-nighter yet!) They just LOVE their friends Kate and Sara Paige, and had a BLAST playing in their PJ's with them and watching the Princess and the Frog! So while they played with them...check out the pic of them in their PJ's and slippers....we went to eat at Texas de Brazil in Addison...

Jim is posing with our appetizer spread...salads, cheeses, meats, lobster bisque soup (our favorite), vegetables, and cheesy rolls!!! After you help yourself to as much of this as you want...

Time for some delicious meat!! The Steak was my favorite...Top Sirloin to be exact!! Just lay this baby on the table and watch the meat come your way!! LOVE Texas De Brazil!!!

So....I thought the goucho guys were so festive I decided to sneak a pic of one (by setting my phone on the table and aiming in his direction) in their famous pants cutting off the meat, and he totally saw me taking the pic of him!! He said that my flash gave me away!!!

So he came over and posed with Jim!! Jim was thrilled with me, let me tell you:) Just kidding, Jim is a great sport!!

And I ended my meal with my favorite drink!! Cafe Latte...YUM!Happy 6th Anniversary to my wonderful, amazing husband. What fun it has been falling in love, getting married, buying a house, getting a dog, having 2 adorable children, and still enjoying each other! I can't wait to see what the next 6 years bring us!! Maybe a trip back to Hawaii...wink wink!!!

The Dallas Arboretum=Beautiful!

Some of my favorite girls and I took our kids to the Dallas Arboretum. What a fantastic place to spend the day. It was amazing...flowers of every kind everywhere...beautiful settings for picnics, weddings, and just lazy days to enjoy God's beautiful creations. There was so much to do and see. We all had a blast...we even got rained on for awhile, but still had a blast!
