Just another day in the life of a Kelly girl

The girls have really been up to a lot lately. Just being little girls, learning, playing and trying new things. I don't really have a theme or subject for this post...just thought it would be fun to post some pics:
Daddy feeding Avery; Kyndall feeding monkey
Kyndall wearing her backpack Grammie got her...she wore it all day

Eric, Olivia and Kyndall....playdate
Avery Trying to crawl....it won't be long now

Here is Avery waving. She kept waving at us when we would wave at her...but by the time I got the video out she only had one wave left:)

Red Raider Football is Starting!!! Go Texas Tech

So it is very fortunate that Jim and I went to the same college. We are both extremely proud of our Alma Mater. We are gearing up for the first game of the season tomorrow, which we should win, by wearing our spirit shirts. The girls are wearing a Tech outfit that we bought for Kyndall...in the pics they are the same age and same size...pretty cool. I didn't label which was which, but Avery is the last pic. Hope you all enjoy the new background it was as close to Texas Tech as I could get! Get your Guns Up everyone, because Texas Tech is ready to play some football!

Home-made wagon

Mom's are fun...sure...we play dolls, kiss boo-boos and give great hugs and kisses. We clean up messes, make sure our kids get fed healthy meals, push them on swings, and just keep them safe and happy. But Daddys (at least Kyndall and Avery's Daddy) just have that special touch. The extra creative ways to entertain, the funniest jokes, the dirtiest activities, and the best games to play! I have captured some of these great moments that Jim has provided for the girls. The first picture is of Jim playing "airplane" with both girls. After Kyndall dragged every toy and fun looking item into the living room to play with, Jim sat down with her and Avery and they started pretending to fly in and airplane. Jim would rock from side to side and front to back as they flew "high in the sky". The other photos are of the "homemade wagon" Jim fixed up with a laundry basket (that Kyndall decided to empty) and 2 of his belts fastened together. He started pulling Kyndall around and she wanted Avery to ride too...so I got the camera and both girls got a fun ride. Soon, Kyndall got tired of riding and put her puppy in with Avery and began pulling her all around the house....it was sooooo funny. I feel so blessed to have married such a caring, playful, and loving man ....

Counting to 10

Here is a video of Kyndall counting to 10....

WARING: This post may contain material not suited for those who have weak tummies:)

It's Potty Training Time!
So I have been really lazy about potty training. I didn't have the girls on a very strict schedule because it just seemed easier to make it through the day that way. Well, Kyndall is 2 years old and almost 2 months so it is time to start trying. The girls have a pretty set nap and feeding schedule so today is the day to begin the training. Any advice in the comments section would be greatly appreciated:) We did have a success already! At 10:00 this morning Kyndall (who has been drinking lots and pantless) went BM in the potty! It was so great. It was a near miss (she was standing and barely made it in the pot!) But she did...and what did she want as a prize....to see her Pa-pa (grampa kelly). So we are probably going to be making a trip his way soon. She even refused candy as a treat for being such a big girl...her response was, "Kyndall want to see Pa-pa". I am hoping this is the start of something great!! Half the diapers!!!

Grammie and Popo came to town!

Grammie and Popo came to visit this past weekend..and we had so much fun! It was Popo's birthday on Saturday, so we enjoyed celebrating it with him. Kyndall really enjoyed sharing his chocolate cake! Here are a couple of pics of our fun weekend.

Tag....I'm it

You're It
I have been tagged by my friend Christy . Six random things about me. Here are the rules: Link to the person who tagged you, mention the rules, tell six quirky, yet boring unspectacular things about yourself, tag six other bloggers by linking to them, and then go to each person's blog and leave a comment letting them know they've been tagged.

1. I Love reality TV. Mostly the Bravo shows like Project Runway, Shear Genius, Top Chef, and I like Big Brother a lot.

2. I love to drive the girls around town on errands because that is when Kyndall (my 2 year old) says the funniest things. Like today she said, "Can I go night night Mommy, can I can I puh-lease!!" And she will start randomly naming people she wants to see and tell me what she wants to do with them..."Go fishing with Pa-pa...can I can I puh-lease"

3. I LOVE ARBY's Beef-n-Cheddars...I could probably eat one every single day...with their sweet tea of course!

4. I am a yes person...I would love to say yes to every thing I get asked to do. I really really really hate to tell people no...and I have often double booked myself on occasions...which really stinks.

5. I was married on the beach in Hawaii with only 8 guests. And my Dad sang at our wedding...it was the most amazing experience I have ever had. I wish I got to go on a honeymoon every year:)

6. My husband and I both went to Texas Tech University at the same time...never met while we were in school, but met in Fort Worth Texas at Saltgrass Steakhouse 3 years after graduating from college. I think it is so funny that we never knew each other when we lived in the same small college town, but as soon as I move to Big D...we finally meet...

I tag my friends: Janette, Lindsey, Anne, Angela, Allison, Melissa

Bath Time!

It was Avery's first bath with Kyndall. She had so much fun. She really likes to play with the boat in the water, and just watch Kyndall. She has been sitting up really well for a couple of weeks now, so we decided she was ready (with her Daddy right there to make sure she didn't fall over). Kyndall was so excited...and they had a blast. I tried to post some pics that don't show too much:) Anyway, life is great in the Kelly household...hope you all are doing well too!

6 month old Cutie

What a sweet little blessing we have in Avery Ellen. She is all smiles, laughs, and fun. She just turned 6 months on August 5th and can smile, laugh, grab everything in sight(including hair!), babble, sit up on her own, and almost hold her own bottle. She and Kyndall are even starting to play a little together....and she LOVES Mae. She will just stare at her and smile and reach for her. She really likes to pet her. Hope you enjoy a couple of pics of her playing with her puppy toy that Grampa Kelly gave her!
