Anything you can do, I can do better.....

I can do Anything better than you!! Oh how that old song holds true to sisters and daughters. It has been a week of hilarious examples of how Avery tries to do what Kyndall does, and how Kyndall tries to do what I do!!
The other day I was finishing a napmat for my friend and making some chef hats and aprons for my craft show. Kyndall kept running in and out of my sewing room getting fabric to make Daddy and Mae some nap mats....then she decided to make an apron too!!
Also, she has decided that she enjoys her nightgowns so much she made some for Mae and Daddy from my scrap fabrics!!
Finally, Avery was yelling, "Potty" and running to the bathroom then to me...back and forth. So I followed her to the potty, pulled off her diaper and shorts and set her up on the toilet. She just sat there and smiled...so Jim ran and got the camera and we took a shot of her!! Everyone pray she decides to get potty trained earlier than her sister (who was just shy of 3 when she finally relented)!
Remember these aprons and Chef hats I'm making for my craft show?...(sorry about the blurriness of the photo)

Kyndall went upstairs while I was sewing them and came down with her very own version!! How creative is this!!! It is a little baby blanket held on her with a headband!!!

Kyndall decided to make a nightgown for Mae...

And we can't leave Daddy out....notice the fabric around his neck...
I can potty too, Kyndall!! (Or at least ask to go potty and scream when we try to take her off! Which we only did because I thought she was going to fall in! Next time we will get the Dora seat that fits on top and let her stay as long as she wants to!!)

Chef Attire, and Park fun!

I know, I know, I have been really bad about blogging lately!! Sorry to all the family and friends who like the fun pics of the girls more regularly:) I grabbed my camera on my way to a playdate with my friend Mona this morning and caught some cute moments at Gabe Nesbit Park in McKinney, Texas. I am telling you the park, because for all the moms out there, it is GREAT! It is just the right size for preschoolers (better for about 2-5 yrs), it is completely shaded, has great upclose picnic tables for parents to chat and watch the kids, and a HUGE cement area great for scooters, bikes, cars, skates, etc. I just thought I would share how impressed I was with this place...we'll definitely be back!! I am trying to get a head start on my inventory for a craft show my friend Jenny Garland and I are doing in October, and I decided to make cute aprons. I ran across a super cute Chef Hat tutorial to go with the apron on this website: www.makingitfun.blogspot.com . It was so extremely easy to make that I think I am going to sell them as a set at the show. What a great idea for dress up, unique halloween costume, or helping cook/bake with a grown up! Hope you like the pics...and I'll try to post more often!!
I made a chef hat and matching apron for the Oct. craft show I am going to be in, and Kyndall just loved the set!! She asked me if she could "dress up" in it, so I grabbed the camera because she usually doesn't really like modeling for me!! She is so cute!
Avery was so cute...she ran over and stood right by her sister to get in the picture:)

Roar!! Kyndall and Kiley were playing dinosaur or monster...or something!

Avery climbing to the VERY TOP of the playset and sliding down the biggest curly slide...over, and over, and over. And she insisted on doing it by herself!
Sweet Kate (Mona's daughter) wanted to go up the slide!!

Magic Nuudles

This is my first product review to do on the girls' blog...I just had to rave about this craft/play activity!! Go to www.hobbylobby.com and print off your handy 40% off coupon and run to your nearest store (if they don't have a coupon, don't worry, the whole box is only $4.99) to buy these babies: What a great activity for preschoolers, or even school age children!! They are super easy to use, all different colors, and biodegradable....what a great way to provide your little one with open-ended creative fun! You can stick these things on walls, windows, tables or just to each other. They wash off with water and are a relatively clean activity!

You can make almost anything out of them. You can even become a beautiful princess like Kyndall!!

And if you need a little help...just call your Gram and she can play too! I just thought I would share a fun and cheap activity to fill up those lulls you have in your day from time to time! We still have about 75% of the nuudles left and Kyndall has played with them a few times already....Definitely worth the purchase!

Playdate with the Jeffords

My good friend Jodi and I decided to get our sweet kids together for a fun playdate this week! We had a blast catching up and the kids all had so much fun together. Avery's big excitement was Ben and Emily's baby sister Katie. She just loved to be a little "Mommy" to her...check out the video at the end!
