Best Friends....

I had to share this sweet moment today. Kyndall and Avery were sitting on the blanket playing and Kyndall looked at Avery and said, "You best friend baby Avery". So I asked her if Avery was her best friend and she said,"uh huh!!" So cute!!

Weekend with Bits and Bin

Gram and Gramps Garth came to visit this weekend...and Kyndall has named them Bits (Gramps) and Bin (Gram). So when you see pics and they say Bits and Bin on them ...you'll know what I am talking about. We had such a great time visiting...and we even went to church with them...which was Avery's first time! She did great...no tears at all. Kyndall did really well until some other Mommies beat me to the classroom and started picking up their kids. She pretty much lost it until they handed her to me. She apparently learned how to clean up at Sunday School, because she came home and cleaned up the entire living room full of toys! Wow...that was nice:) We are definitely going back to that church!!! We visited Stonebriar in Frisco. Chuck Swindol is the Pastor, and he was great! It is a lot closer to us than Prestonwood, so we maybe looking at a change in churches in our near future. Hope you enjoy a few of the fun moments we captured this weekend....One pic of Avery is a milestone: Sitting up on her own!!!

Kyndall Counting

Kyndall started counting for me today, just out of the blue, and she counted all the way to 10! I couldn't believe it....but of course I couldn't get her to count all the way to 10 on video, but she did pretty good anyway:)

Avery's Latest happenings

Here are some fun pics of Avery enjoying her sister, Daddy, and some yummy rice cereal. Kyndall HATED rice cereal, and didn't particularly like the flavored kind either...not Avery, she is a huge fan! I added a little video at the bottom of this post so everyone could see Avery eating her cereal for the very first time!
Daddy being silly with his girls...

Avery's first time in the highchair after eating her first bowl of rice cereal! Pretty clean for the first time huh...

Summertime fun

Grampa Kelly came over the other night with a new swimming pool for Kyndall. She LOVES it! We have been in it every day since. We put the Little Tykes slide in it too so she can have lots of fun. She even shares her car swing with Avery now! What a sweet big sister she is. It is amazing to see their sisterly bond already. I wouldn't believe it unless I had seen it with my own eyes. Everytime Kyndall gets near Avery or Avery hears her voice she lights up. She looks for Kyndall and smiles so big. Kyndall can get her to laugh more than Jim and I can. Kyndall also asks about Avery starting the moment she wakes up...then all through the day. What a blessing to have 2 such sweet girls who love each other so much!

What fun!

Water Baby Swim Class

Kyndall and I met Janette, Ryan and Erik Johanson for swim class this morning. It was a lot of fun, but Kyndall liked the end the best where she could play in the water that was more shallow and she could get around on her own (with me following right behind of course). We learned to blow bubbles in the water, kick our feet, relax on our backs, and not my favorite lesson: how to climb out of the pool. Now my daughter will take full advantage of knowing that skill! We had a great time and can't wait to go next week...maybe Daddy and Baby Avery can come with us so Kyndall can show off her skills!
Thanks Janette for taking some fun photos of us at the pool!
Oh boy, was she excited to learn this lesson, climbing out of the pool!

Yes, that's right, learning how to climb out of the pool..."elbow, elbow, tummy, knee up, knee up

She did it!

Kyndall was happy to get an octopus pool toy from the instructor to play with. She earned it by kicking her little feet!

Just having fun

Bedtime routine....

Kyndall is doing really well in her big girl bed! She goes right to bed and asks us to read her a story...then we pray and she goes to sleep. The other night she really got excited when Avery joined her (just for the story and prayer). She has figured out she can get out of her bed now, because sometimes when I go to get her she is hiding in her Rose Petal Cottage and waiting for me to look for her! I guess she is taking advantage of some of the perks of not being in a crib!!

Fun at Gramps & Gram's house

We had a great time visiting Gram and Gramps in Lubbock over the 4th of July! We can't wait to go back. Both girls loved seeing their grandparents everyday and hope they come visit us soon. We took Kyndall to the Texas Tech campus to see the 4th of July parade (pics are in a previous post) and walked around campus. We think she's eager to become a red raider:) Hope you enjoy a few of the pics from our trip....

Avery is 5 Months Old!

Avery is 5 months old!! We can't believe it...she is wearing a dress her Grandma Barb bought her...very special to us!

First night in her Big Girl Bed!

Huge milestone everyone!!!! We have had a big girl bed ready for Kyndall to start sleeping in for months now. She wouldn't get in it except to play. So we kept her in the crib. Well, our sweet Avery is growing out of her cradle, so she needs the crib. While we were in Lubbock, Kyndall napped great all by herself in a grown up bed, so yesterday we took the crib out of her room and made sure her room was extra "kyndall proof" so if she got up in the night she would be safe. It was a success! We read a couple of books, then a story from her bible, prayed, then read another book and then.....she did it! What a brave girl. Notice the 3 pacifiers in her bed with her and in the morning shot there is a book in her bed too:) and of course baby jaguar (her stuffed animal). It was a great night, and she slept very well! Yea Kyndall!!

4th of July Parade

We went to Lubbock to visit my parents for the 4th of July. Lubbock was celebrating 100 years, so the parade was pretty fun. We only took Kyndall, and let Avery enjoy time with Gram and Gramps. Kyndall liked the dancing mouse and the horses the best. We got to walk around on the Texas Tech campus, which Kyndall really enjoyed...Jim and I both graduated from there so she is going to be influenced pretty big time to go there!! More pics to come of our week with Gram and Gramps....we had a blast! Kyndall didn't get to enjoy any fireworks this time...because she was so tired she fell asleep early...maybe next year!
